Another attempt

Still going on the cat front.  What do you think?  Are they getting better?

Seriously, I’d love to hear what you think about these shots, and any tips for taking photo’s of cats who won’t sit still.  I’ve already ruled out superglue, think that could be classed as cruel.

Your pics are wonderful ...sorry no tips for fast moving felines but my best ones are taken when they are least expecting it ...somehow they learn early what a camera is ....rather like a two year old ...and they know what you want to do.

I know they say with animals (or people for that matter) that you have to make sure that your sharpest focus is on the eyes, or in the case of these pics with the very shallow depth of field, the eye.

I think that works really well with the top photo, but I think in the bottom one it would have been nice to see both eyes in focus so maybe up the aperture a couple of stops?

As for getting the cat to stay still, good luck, our one is either sleeping, eating, or running up and down the room like a deranged dervish.
